Position: Marketing Manager

Location: Support Center

Reports To:  Vice President, Retail Strategy

Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager plays a key role in supporting marketing, promotions, and corporate communications for Nation's Best Holdings and its family of independent retail brands. This role helps the organization leverage its collective scale while preserving the local identity, autonomy, and community connection of each store.

The Marketing Manager leads core support center marketing initiatives, develops and executes annual marketing plans, and partners closely with store teams to drive customer engagement, brand consistency, and sales growth. This position reports to the Vice President of Retail

Key Responsibilities

Brand Stewardship Across Multiple Banners

  • Balance support center efficiencies with the unique identities of independent store brands in mind
  • Support individual stores and brands with marketing resources, templates, and best practices
  • Maintain brand standards while enabling local customization

Loyalty Program Management

  • Manage, enhance, and support the company's customer loyalty program
  • Analyze enrollment, engagement, and redemption performance
  • Partner with store teams to grow participation and maximize program impact

Annual Marketing Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage an annual, integrated marketing plan across all brands
  • Plan and execute print promotions, circulars, and in-store campaigns
  • Coordinate digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media calendars and regular updates to store webpages.
  • Align marketing initiatives with seasonal demand, vendor priorities, and sales objectives

Budgeting & Financial Accountability

  • Develop and manage annual marketing budgets
  • Track and allocate spend across campaigns and store programs
  • Measure performance and ROI, providing reporting and insights as needed

Vendor Co-Op & Program Fund Management

  • Oversee and manage vendor co-op advertising and program funds
  • Collaborate with Director of Vendor Strategy on growing co-op fund opportunities
  • Ensure stores fully leverage earned funds for eligible marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate ordering for store specific unform needs to ensure co-op compliance
  • Maintain compliance with vendor requirements and documentation

Customer Data & Targeted Marketing

  • Lead data-driven marketing initiatives to improve customer engagement
  • Leverage purchase behavior, frequency, and demographics to drive targeted campaigns
  • Expand capabilities related to segmentation, text messaging, and automated communications

Consumer Engagement & Best Practices

  • Identify and implement tools and strategies to increase customer interaction
  • Stay current on retail marketing trends, platforms, and technologies
  • Train and support store teams in adopting best practices

Corporate Communications & Public Relations

  • Lead corporate communications on behalf of Nation's Best Holdings
  • Promote company initiatives, community involvement, and charitable programs
  • Coordinate visibility in industry publications and trade associations
  • Develop press releases, corporate announcements, and company-wide messaging
  • Support reputation management and ensure consistent communication across brands

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner closely with store leadership, operations, IT, retail strategy, and vendors
  • Provide ongoing guidance, resources, and marketing support to stores
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations on campaign performance and recommendations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of marketing experience; multi-location retail experience preferred
  • Experience with loyalty programs, CRM platforms, or customer data tools strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with vendor co-op advertising programs and funding processes
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple brands and competing priorities
  • Comfort working with data, analytics, and marketing automation tools
