Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling medical records, and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure a smooth workflow in our practice.

Duties

  • Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient information.
  • Handle medical collections and process payments.
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient intake and discharge procedures.
  • Provide information to clients regarding pet care, services offered, and veterinary terminology.
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries from clients regarding services or concerns.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area as well as other common areas within the clinic.
  • Support kennel operations when necessary, including animal handling and restraint.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide excellent patient care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not mandatory; however, familiarity with veterinary terminology is essential.
  • Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, and care practices is highly desirable.
  • Experience in medical collection processes is a plus.
  • Skills in animal handling, including dog training and grooming techniques, are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour
