Position Summary

**** Must have at least 3-4 years of underground utilities experience.****

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects

from pre-construction through closeout. This position ensures on-time and on-budget delivery, proper

documentation, and clear communication across field teams, clients, and vendors. The Project

The manager plays a central role in driving project success and supporting LBI's mission to deliver high-quality,

compliant, and profitable work.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Oversight


Manage the daily execution and long-term planning of assigned projects, working


closely with Superintendents and field teams.


Oversee the preparation (and prepare if needed), submission, and tracking of


submittals, RFIs, and PCOs throughout the project lifecycle.


Manage PCO Packages, including pricing RFI's, added work, distributing updated PCO


logs, Change order negotiation,s and claims documentation.


Build the job budget and track cost performance from buyout through final billing.

Manage and monitor project schedules and coordinate with internal and external teams


to meet milestones.


Manage building and implementing the construction work plans with the foreman and


superintendent


Conduct and lead project meetings, providing clear documentation of status updates,


issues, and action items.


Support and resolve field-level issues, including complicated problems where the field


engineer needs assistance.


Know principles of estimating.


Procurement & Financial Controls


Coordinate material buyouts with at least two quotes per item; approve Purchase


Orders (POs) generated by the Field engineer

Draft subcontracts and route for approval from Construction Management and

Superintendents.


Order materials in conjunction with the field engineer and maintain alignment with


schedule, budget, and field needs.


Verify all Accounts Payable (AP) entries against project budgets, quotes, and approved


POs.


Prepare and submit monthly client billings.


Documentation & Systems Management


Maintain compliance and construction documentation per LBI's standards, including


hard copy and digital filing.


Create and maintain construction work plans, safety records, daily reports, and


schedule updates.


Oversee use of the shop inventory system (dispatch), coordinating tools and material


flow to and from job sites.


Ensure proper submission of RFIs, claims, and correspondence to project stakeholders


and owners.


Track, log, and update all contract modifications, ensuring full documentation of PCOs,


change orders, and claims.

Contract & Client Management


Assist with contract execution, updates, and negotiations in coordination with the


executive team.


Review and manage contracts, scopes of work, and owner directives.

Ensure all changes in scope are communicated to the client and the field. Changes in scope must


be priced and sent to the client by the PM.


Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support


alignment, accountability, and professionalism throughout the project.

Competitive Salary Based on Experience: $99,000 - $137,000
