Content Shooter & Creative Assistant

Pay: $17/hour

Matrixcape Media is a fast-growing social media marketing agency creating viral content for local businesses across the Chicagoland area. We work with restaurants, cafés, gyms, and brands to produce professional content that drives real visibility. We're hiring a Content Shooter & Creative Assistant to help us execute shoots and support our creative team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is creative, reliable, and highly organized.

Responsibilities

Content Shooter

• Drive to client locations and capture photo and video content

• Clock in upon arrival at the shoot and clock out when leaving

• Film short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms

• Follow creative shot lists and direction

• Ensure clean, stable, high-quality footage

• Maintain a professional presence on location

Creative Assistant

• Manage and organize the team shoot calendar

• Confirm shoot times and locations with clients and staff

• Assist the head creative department with planning and coordination

• Help organize content assets and keep projects on schedule

• Provide general creative and administrative support when needed

What We're Looking For

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally

• Strong communication and organization skills

• Comfortable using a phone camera or basic camera equipment

• Professional, punctual, and detail-oriented

• Comfortable working with clients in person

• Available for weekday and occasional weekend shoots

Compensation & Schedule

• $17/hour

• Clock-in starts upon arrival at the shoot

• Clock-out ends when leaving the location

• Consistent weekly work available

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos and videos that align with our brand voice and content strategy goals
• Edit visual content using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing tools to produce polished assets
• Manage and upload content to WordPress websites and other content management systems efficiently
• Assist in developing creative concepts for social media campaigns and marketing initiatives
• Support the implementation of SEO best practices by optimizing images, videos, and written content for search engines
• Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm new ideas for engaging multimedia content
• Maintain an organized library of visual assets, ensuring easy access for future projects
• Contribute to content creation efforts for email marketing, social media management, and e-commerce platforms
