Responsibilities

• Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food handling equipment through regular sanitation and cleaning routines
• Support the dietary department by bussing tables, clearing trays, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and inviting
• Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times
• Help with inventory management by storing supplies correctly and notifying supervisors of stock needs
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to support efficient meal service during busy hours while maintaining excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with culinary tasks such as cooking, meal assembly, or food handling is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards residents or patients
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food service operations is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week

Work Location: In person
