The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Nature of Work: The Senior Fleet Coordinator provides support to the Fleet Administrator and Fleet Manager for MDTA operations and police fleet. This position provides assistance in program management for all automotive and maintenance equipment.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinates with the Fleet Administrator and Fleet Manager in the planning and management of disbursement and distribution of new vehicles and equipment;
- Oversees all emissions, violations, mileage exceptions, and database maintenance;
- Assigns and reviews work of lower-level fleet staff;
- Manages accident reporting functions involving vehicles and equipment;
- Represents the Authority regarding statewide fleet;
- Conducts, manages, and reconciles small procurements;
- Serves as a Project/Contract Manager on assigned projects;
- Assists in physical inventories of fleet and miscellaneous equipment;
- Analyzes and reconciles physical inventory in the field using databases to ensure that the information is accurate; and
- Maintains fleet databases (e.g. Maximo and WebFleetMaster) and various internal fleet database systems to record, monitor, track and report fleet maintenance activities.
Employees in this position will report directly to the Fleet Manager. The current vacancy is located in Baltimore County, MD. Hybrid telework schedules may be available for this position.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work. **Two years of this experience must include fleet vehicle coordination focused on inventory management and recordkeeping.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience with Maximo, WebFleetMaster, or similar databases
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of procurement processes
- Knowledge of fleet compliance and regulations
- Experience with data analysis
- Leadership experience supporting teams
