Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest experiences by delivering prompt, professional, and courteous service in a fine dining or casual restaurant setting. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests' needs are met with a high level of hospitality. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are highly valued. The Server will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests and maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus, providing detailed descriptions of menu items when needed
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring presentation quality and proper food handling procedures
• Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
• Check in with guests regularly to ensure their needs are met and address any concerns promptly
• Process payments accurately through POS systems and handle cash transactions with proper cash handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Build positive guest relations through attentive service and personalized interactions
• Support opening or closing duties as assigned, including sanitation and setup tasks

Skills

• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in food handling
• Excellent communication skills for taking orders accurately and upselling menu items
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments efficiently
• Previous experience in fine dining, casual dining, or hospitality environments is advantageous
• Familiarity with food industry terminology, serving techniques, and guest relations strategies
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as required
