Mt Tabor Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications to residents, ensuring their safety and comfort, and supporting the overall well-being of our community members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents in accordance with established protocols and state regulations.
  • Assist with the monitoring of residents' health conditions, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication administration records (MAR) and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Educate residents and their families about medication management and potential side effects.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to infection control standards.
  • Respond promptly to residents' needs and concerns, providing emotional support and encouragement.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Medication Aide in Washington State.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care or rehabilitation.
  • Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Certified Medication Aides in Washington should have a current NAC (Nursing Assistant Certified) with a minimum of 1 year experience, completed a medication assistant program (90 hours), have passed the Washington Medication Assistant Competency Exam
