Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead and manage daily warehouse activities. This role involves overseeing inventory management, logistics, and team supervision within a fast-paced cold-storage environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive cold storage experience, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and safety protocols. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, process improvements, and compliance with OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations during the 2nd shift, ensuring productivity and safety standards are met.
• Managing inventory control, including accurate tracking and management using Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, including materials handling, heavy lifting, and logistics planning.
• Manage warehouse distribution processes to optimize flow and reduce delays.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Manage team members through effective team management practices, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers to coordinate third-party logistics services as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory, shipments, and safety records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a cold storage environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping & receiving, materials handling, and warehouse distribution processes.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other logistics software such as OSHAs standards.
• Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation including forklifts.
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives and logistics coordination.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a safe work environment.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced setting for extended periods.
• Prior experience working with 3PL providers is preferred.

• High School Diploma required, college or trade school education preferred.
• 4+ years of hands-on leadership experience in warehousing and distribution
• Food grade operations & various forklift truck and warehouse experience
• Experience in cold storage.
• Proven success of leading in a team safely in a service environment

Physical Requirements & Schedule:

• Core working hours are Mon-Fri but in rare emergency situations must be available for team support as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -20 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.

Pay: From $73,000.00 per year
