Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaning Associate to join our awesome Fit 1 team This role is essential in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our members and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of cleanliness in a fitness setting, and can work independently while following established cleaning standards.

We currently have two available positions:

• Daytime Cleaning Associate
• Overnight Cleaning Associate

Both roles play a vital part in ensuring our gym remains clean, safe, and enjoyable for all members.

Duties

• Clean and sanitize gym equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces throughout the facility
• Refill supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and sanitizing products
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly
• Follow gym cleaning checklists and sanitation protocols
• Report broken equipment, maintenance issues, or safety concerns to management
• Ensure cleanliness standards are met consistently during assigned shift
• Work independently and efficiently to complete daily cleaning tasks

Requirements

• Prior cleaning, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift cleaning supplies as needed
• Comfortable working in a gym/fitness environment
• Must be dependable and trustworthy

Schedule & Additional Information

• Daytime Shift: Hours vary based on gym needs
• Overnight Shift: Typically between 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Overnight cleaners may select their preferred hours within this timeframe
• Minimum of 3 hours per shift

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
