Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to work in our Head Start classroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, overseeing classroom operations, and ensuring the implementation of high-quality child development. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to student development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents. This classroom has a 2 teacher ratio and will follow a schedule similar to the school system. We also are salary based and have many perks.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships and promote a safe and productive learning environment.
- Implement curriculum development and alignment with educational standards.
- Lesson planning with co-worker.
- Monitor student progress and use the curriculum and assessment provided
- Assist in daily school operations.
- Foster relationships with parents, community members, and stakeholders to promote school initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations regarding childhood development and education standards.
- Organize school events and activities that engage students and promote a sense of community.
Skills
- Experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare or early childhood education.
- Curriculum development tailored for diverse learning needs.
- Ability to plan effective lessons that cater to various learning styles.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices.
- Experience in fostering literacy education among students of all ages.
- Proficient in supporting toddler care needs within an educational framework.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
