Angel Pets Veterinary Hospice has been providing in-home veterinary hospice and end of life care for 8 years and now is expanding into Northern Virginia/DC area . We partner with families to ensure whole body supportive care with a focus on minimizing stress for pets and the families that cherish them. Our team is Virginia rooted and bases and pride ourselves to be available 365 days a year to support families in this significant life chapter. We are deeply committed to ensuring the comfort and well-being of pets while offering understanding and guidance to their families. Role Description

This is a full-time remote Veterinarian role. The Veterinarian will conduct in-home quality of life assessments, provide pain management and hospice care, and perform compassionate end-of-life care services in a supportive and empathetic manner. The role involves The role involves collaborating with families. Additionally, the Veterinarian will maintain accurate medical records, participate in continuous learning, and consistently uphold the highest standards of compassionate pet care.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution and an active veterinary license.

DEA license.

Experience or training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and integration with Western medicine is highly desirable but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support families during emotionally sensitive situations.

Organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, home-visit setting, including maintaining accurate records.

A valid driver's license and ability to travel to client homes within the service area.

Ability to lift 40# unassisted if needed.

Compassion and understanding to create a supportive environment for families and their pets.

Details :

FT is considered 3.5 days a week. Average 4-5 appts on a full day and 3 appts on a half day. No afterhour on call. Plenty opportunity for bonuses. Schedule is flexible and many of our veterinarians see appointments around school schedules. Pay: $115, $145,000.00 per year
