Are you a Fire Protection Engineer with a passion for special hazards systems and advanced fire protection strategies? Join a respected and growing engineering consultancy in Maryland as a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, where you'll lead complex projects and play a key role in delivering innovative fire protection solutions.
What You'll Do:Design and engineer special hazard fire suppression systems (clean agents, foam, CO₂, water mist, etc.)
Perform code analysis and ensure system compliance with NFPA standards and local codes
Lead multi-disciplinary project teams on a variety of industrial and high-risk facility projects
Oversee all phases of projects – from proposals and design to construction support and commissioning
Collaborate with clients, AHJs, architects, and contractors
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical development
3+ years of fire protection engineering experience
Proven background in special hazards design and application
PE license in Fire Protection Engineering (or ability to obtain)
Deep knowledge of NFPA standards, especially NFPA 2001, NFPA 12, NFPA 72, and NFPA 70
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Experience working with industrial, defense, data center, or mission-critical environments is a plus
