The Episcopal Academy seeks a dependable, detail-oriented maintenance professional who works effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, prioritizes tasks efficiently, exercises sound judgment under pressure, and approaches their work with a strong customer-service mindset and commitment to safety.

What You Will Do

• Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, light carpentry, drywall repair, and basic plumbing and electrical work
• Maintain and service heating, cooling, plumbing, and HVAC systems, including filter changes
• Complete minor repairs (locks, fixtures, hardware, etc.)
• Support coworkers, contractors, and campus partners as needed
• Assist with event setup and breakdown for campus programs and special events
• Follow all safety regulations and policies
• Assist with snow removal, including shoveling, salting, sanding, and operating snow removal vehicles and equipment (requires 24-hour on-call availability during inclement weather).

About You

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance with a strong emphasis on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and common maintenance systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Physically able to kneel, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varying weather conditions
• Clean driving record and ability to meet state and federal driving requirements
• Ability to successfully complete required state and federal clearances
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to respond to on-call needs and emergency situation
• Committed to contributing positively to a collaborative, mission-driven school community
