Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Virtual Inbound Coordinator to join our logistics and supply chain team. This role involves coordinating inbound shipments, managing inventory data, and supporting warehouse operations through various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in supply chain management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in logistics, transportation management, and warehouse operations within a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound shipments by scheduling deliveries and communicating with carriers and suppliers using transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including inventory control, demand planning, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Support warehouse distribution activities such as picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
  • Utilize ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms for data entry, order processing, and tracking inventory levels.
  • Monitor transportation planning and freight movements to ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by analyzing logistics data and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Assist procurement teams with sourcing activities, category management, and supplier communication.
  • Support dispatching activities including fleet management, NVOCC coordination, and transportation planning.
  • Maintain accurate records related to shipping & receiving, packaging, materials management, and warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in supply chain analytics, demand forecasting, and logistics optimization.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of supply chain management principles such as inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes including order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
  • Experience or knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or equivalent.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret supply chain analytics for process improvements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory data and shipment schedules.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with forklift operation is a plus but not required. This entry-level position provides a valuable foundation in supply chain operations within a collaborative team environment. Candidates should be eager to learn new technologies and contribute to continuous process improvements across logistics functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90, $100,000.00 per year
