Product Manager
Early-Stage Data & Identity Platform | Confidential Client Search
Our client is an early-stage technology startup building a modern product suite focused on identity resolution and data enrichment, spanning Identification, Warming, Enrichment, and Scoring. The company is operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and is seeking a hands-on Product Manager who thrives without heavy process, learns quickly, and takes true end-to-end ownership.
This role is ideal for a PM who is energized by imperfect data, evolving customer needs, and the opportunity to shape product direction while shipping continuously.
The Opportunity
The Product Manager will own discovery through delivery for a defined product area (final scope determined based on near-term company priorities). You will work in close partnership with:
Head of Product – strategy, prioritization, and trade-offs
Engineering – execution and delivery
Design – UX/UI and workflow clarity
Customer interaction is a core expectation of this role. You should expect to speak with customers weekly, validate ideas quickly, and drive continuous improvement in production.
Given the stage of the company, this role will occasionally extend beyond traditional PM boundaries (e.g., support triage, release communication drafts, lightweight data analysis).
Key Responsibilities
Own Outcomes for a Product Area
Act as the accountable "get-it-done" owner for a defined product surface.
Translate messy inputs—customer feedback, support tickets, sales insights, and product gaps—into clear problem statements, decisions, and shipped improvements.
Lead Lightweight Discovery
Conduct rapid discovery through customer calls, ticket analysis, demo shadowing, and quick prototypes.
Move efficiently from insight → build → learn, prioritizing speed and learning over perfection.
Ship Continuously with Engineering & Design
Write clear, actionable specs, PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge-case definitions.
Break work into iterative releases, unblock decisions quickly, and maintain forward momentum.
Validate in production through instrumentation, usage analysis, and qualitative feedback loops.
Launch, Enable, and Drive Adoption
Coordinate staged launches (alpha, beta, GA), feature flags, and segment or package-based rollouts.
Ensure internal enablement (documentation, release notes, customer-facing context).
Measure adoption and iterate to improve time-to-value.
Candidate Profile
Required Experience
2 or more years of Product Management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS environments.
A strong ownership mindset: able to operate independently, learn rapidly, and make progress with incomplete information.
Excellent written communication skills, particularly in producing specs engineers can execute against with minimal iteration.
Comfort operating hands-on—engaging directly with tickets, data pulls, customer conversations, documentation, and launch coordination.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with data-centric products, including identity resolution, enrichment, matching, data quality, CDPs, attribution, or risk/fraud platforms.
Familiarity with common product tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma).
What Success Looks Like
Consistent delivery of meaningful product improvements with strong launch discipline (instrumentation, enablement, and iteration plans).
Measurable increases in adoption and usage across owned workflows and customer segments.
Reduced recurring customer pain points driven by clearer UX and workflow design.
High trust and credibility with Engineering and Design teams due to decisiveness, preparation, and pragmatic execution.
This Role Is Likely Not a Fit If…
You require a fully defined roadmap, extensive process, or perfect requirements before starting.
You avoid direct customer engagement or digging into unstructured, real-world feedback.
You prioritize highly polished documentation over shipping, learning, and iterating quickly.
