Test Technician
Forest Lake Area | Contract | $25–$28/hour
Konik is partnering with an industry-leading product development organization to add a Test Technician to their structural testing team in the northeast metro area. This position supports hands-on mechanical testing, data acquisition, and component evaluation for a variety of vehicle and system-level projects. The role is initially structured as a 6-month contract, with potential for extension based on project needs.
Test Technician Responsibilities:- Perform durability and component testing using established procedures and safety standards.
- Set up fixtures, assemblies, and instrumentation per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate lab equipment such as hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, electrodynamic shakers, and spin stands.
- Support fixture design and light fabrication (drilling, milling, welding) as needed.
- Collect, monitor, and analyze test data to support product validation and reporting.
- Document results in detailed technical summaries and communicate findings to engineering teams.
- Maintain lab organization, equipment calibration, and safety compliance.
- Associate degree or equivalent hands-on technical experience preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical, automotive, or testing environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, fixtures, and measurement devices.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, or electronics is a plus.
- Experience with MTS or similar test equipment preferred but not required—training provided.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Location: North Metro area (100% onsite)
- Type: Contract (6 months, potential to extend)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (some flexibility)
- Pay Range: $25–$28/hour
