Shipper/Receiver Needed

Shift: Monday through Thursday

1st shift 5:00am - 3:30pm

Pay:

$22.00/hr.

MUST HAVE FORKLIFT AND LOADING/UNLOADING TRAILER EXPERIENCE

Position Summary
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for coordinating, processing, and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments in a fast-paced industrial recycling environment. This role ensures materials are accurately received, sorted, prepared, and shipped in compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming loads of recyclable materials, verify quantities, and inspect for accuracy and quality

• Prepare outbound shipments, including weighing, labeling, and staging materials for transport

• Complete and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, scale tickets, and inventory records

• Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scales (certification as required)

• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely and efficient material movement

• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts

• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures within the facility

• Keep shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace standards

• Report discrepancies, damaged materials, or safety concerns to supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience

• Forklift experience

• Basic computer and record-keeping skills

• Ability to read, write, and complete shipping documents accurately

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials up to specified weight limits

• Comfortable working in an industrial environment with noise, dust, and varying weather conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods
