Company Overview

Millwork Install Fitters, LLC (MIF) is a growing commercial construction subcontractor specializing in millwork installation, cabinetry, and interior finish carpentry throughout Central Florida. Due to increased project demand and continued growth, we are expanding our preconstruction operations and are seeking a dedicated Construction Estimator to support our bidding and cost analysis efforts.

Position Overview

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for millwork, cabinetry, and finish carpentry scopes on commercial, hospitality, and multi-family construction projects. This role will serve as MIF's primary estimating resource and will work closely with ownership, project management, and field leadership. This is an in-office position in Orlando, FL.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and bid proposals
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and scope documents
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit and analyze vendor and supplier pricing
• Develop scopes of work, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications
• Track bid schedules, revisions, and awarded projects
• Assist with value engineering and cost optimization
• Maintain organized estimating files and historical cost data
• Support preconstruction handoff to project management teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of construction estimating experience
• Experience estimating commercial construction or subcontractor trade scopes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
• AutoCAD (viewing and basic takeoffs a plus)

In-office position only – Orlando, FL
No remote work at this time
