Prunuske Chatham, Inc. (PCI) is seeking a mid-senior level landscape architect and project leader to join our team in Sebastopol, California. The ideal candidate will have experience providing project management and leadership through all phases of projects, from inception to implementation, with a particular focus on habitat restoration. In addition to restoration, design projects include park and open space preserves, ranches, and winery landscapes with a focus on sustainability and native plants. This is an in-person position with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule.
Typical Tasks:
- Design and drafting work: grading, planting design and master planning
- Lead development of construction documents including technical specs and details
- Develop renderings and presentation graphics, hand rendering a plus
- Write design reports including technical memos and feasibility analysis
- Manage projects by delegating tasks to design team staff
- Write proposals: develop scopes of work and budgets for design
- Collaborate with professionals from other disciplines, including scientists, engineers, ecologists and planners
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in landscape architecture
- Professional license in CA (negotiable pending experience)
- 7+ year's professional experience
- Knowledge of environmental restoration
- Knowledge of CA native plants
Skills & Abilities
- Communicate effectively with clients
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus); Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and analyze opportunities and constraints
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage projects to meet stated objectives, timelines, and budgets
- Proven writing skills and demonstrated experience producing high-quality reports
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide leadership and work collaboratively in a team environment and with clients
- Field work and overnight travel may be required
Compensation:
This position is full-time with benefits, including health insurance, 401K, potential annual bonus and paid time off and holidays. Salary range: $90-125k depending on experience.
