Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and supplies to ensure seamless dental procedures.
  • Assist dentists during various treatments including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry procedures with precision and care.
  • Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Take and develop X-rays in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation within EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
  • Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, verifying vital signs, updating medical records, and explaining procedures clearly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols to uphold safety standards.
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing medical coding for insurance claims.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic technique.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix managing medical records and documentation.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during general dentistry procedures as well as specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics.
  • Certification in X-ray technology and knowledge of dentistry are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics.
  • A proactive team player with attention to detail in maintaining medical records, medical coding, and adhering to HIPAA standards. Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
