Job Responsibilities
The WIC Program Manager oversees and coordinates daily operations of the WIC clinic and the on-site Call Center, ensuring efficient workflows, consistent customer service, and full compliance with program requirements. This role manages a wide range of operational and programmatic activities, provides leadership and direction to staff and supervisors, supports employee development, and implements policies and procedures that promote effective and continuous service delivery across both departments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations and ensure program compliance.
- Supervise clinic and Call Center staff, including scheduling, attendance, and performance.
- Support staff training, development, and communication.
- Maintain efficient workflows and high-quality customer service.
- Coordinate with leadership to meet program goals and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field
and
three (3) years of managerial or supervisory experience;
or
seven (7) years of related professional experience, including three (3) years in a managerial or supervisory role;
or
three (3) years of experience at the lower-level position of Manager, Business Operations (GSM010).
Additional Information
The DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being. The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.
