Under the direction of the Donor Services Manager, provides an exceptional experience and procedural
support of the mobile team, and contributes to the donor environment by being responsible for the
transportation of donor center staff, required supplies, and equipment to and from mobile collection
sites.
EXPERIENCE:
• Customer service
• Basic keyboarding skills and computer experience preferred
• Experience in operating a vehicle that requires a Class A or B license
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
• Valid California Driver's License
• Class A or B license with air brake and passenger endorsements
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Ability to read and understand directions and interpret navigational cues
• Ability to organize tasks efficiently and accurately
• Excellent verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions, reason and make appropriate judgements
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team setting
• Ability to adapt to regulatory and industry changes
QualificationsESSENTIAL JOB FUCTIONS:
• Participate in obtaining organizational goals
• Transport and assist in the set-up and breakdown of portable equipment used for the outside
set-up; tables, chairs, pop-ups, etc.
• Positively identify donors throughout the donation process when applicable
• Assist staff with donor reaction care
• Assist staff with post-donation care of donors
• Keep equipment in good working condition, as well as clean and neat in appearance
• Practice defensive driving techniques
• Perform pre and post-inspection of mobile vehicles, which includes the inspection of; tires, fluids,
lights, generators, etc.
• Assists in loading and unloading supplies needed for the mobile, which includes snacks, blood
bags, ice chest, etc.
• Park and level the mobile bus
• Package blood units and samples for transport to HCBB Manufacturing department
• Reviews receipt of driving directions prior to departing for a mobile drive
• Reviews site qualification for pertinent information prior to departing for a mobile drive
• Demonstrates complete understanding of all established policies and procedures within the
applicable department as outlined
• Be courteous, conscientious, and professional when interacting with internal and external
customers
• Ensure all non-critical equipment is operational and properly functioning to prevent errors and
injury
• Ensure work areas are clean, well-stocked, and organized at all times
• Demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Compiles with all safety procedures, cGMP, personnel practices, and confidentiality policies
• Report required vehicle maintenance and broken/malfunctioning parts on any vehicle to the Fleet
Manager when discovered
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 45 pounds
• Work in air-conditioned office building or air-conditioned bloodmobile
• Ability to work in weather conditions that include but are not limited to; rain, heat, wind
• Potential exposure to biohazardous material (blood, bodily fluids)
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to intermittently kneel, squat, bend, twist, reach, and climb up and down steps
