Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our commercial spaces. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure that our facilities are pristine, well-maintained, and inviting for everyone who enters. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive atmosphere while developing your skills in cleaning, custodial maintenance, and facilities upkeep. This is a second shift position (3-11 PM) Monday- Friday, located at our home-base in down town North Adams.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
• Handle janitorial tasks including trash removal, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, window washing, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance, observing and reporting needed reapirs in the buildings along with exterior groundskeeping.
• Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to promote a hazard-free environment.
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any supply shortages or equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is a plus.
• Drivers license is required. Must be able to pass a background check.
• knowledge of cleaning techniques.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
