We are looking for a Dental Front Desk Receptionist for our office located in the Bronx, New York. This is a full-time position and working Sundays is a MUST.
The Receptionist is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering the office. They will greet patients, sign them into the computer scheduling system, schedule future appointments, handle incoming phone calls in a professional manner, receive and process payments, among other office duties. They will assist patients in accordance with the training they have received ensuring every patient is provided with the best possible care.
Schedule:
- Sundays 7:30am/8:30am to close (~4:00pm)
- Mondays 10:00am to close (~6:30pm)
- Tuesdays 10:00am to close (~7:00pm)
- Wednesdays 11:00am to close (~7:00pm)
- Thursdays 11:00am to close (~7:00pm)
- ***WAGE IS NEGOTIABLE***
- ***SUNDAYS ARE A MUST***
- ***WEEKDAY SCHEDULE IS FLEXIBLE***
- This position can be Full-time OR Part-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service; acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal
- Respond to patient questions and/or concerns professionally and correctly
- Answer telephones
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain appointment book via PracticeWorks scheduling program
- Confirm appointments
- Follow-up on no shows/cancellation of appointments
- Register new patients
- Sign-in patients upon arrival
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts
- Research patient insurances
- Collect and process payments
- Review finances with patients
- Check voicemail on a daily basis
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients
Desired skills:
- Associate's Degree or higher
- 1+ years of experience, preferred
- Ability to answer telephone in a professional manner
- Provide stellar customer service
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task
- Professional appearance/demeanor
- Positive attitude
- Well-spoken & dependable
