Position: Sr. Data Quality Analyst/SQL-Databricks

Type: W2 / Contract-to-Hire / 6-12 Months

Location: 100% Remote/USA (Onshore required)

Overview

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Quality Analyst who can go far beyond basic QA checks. This person will dive deep into complex datasets, identify data integrity issues, and guide the organization in building out scalable, automated data quality capabilities. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, collaborates with diverse stakeholders, and proactively questions unclear requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze complex, multi-source datasets to identify data inconsistencies, anomalies, and quality issues.

Apply business logic validation (e.g., demographic consistency, date logic) to identify and resolve data errors.

Develop and enhance automated data quality processes and frameworks (flexible — no required tools).

Write advanced SQL queries to explore, validate, and troubleshoot data.

Utilize Python within Databricks for data profiling, testing, and automation.

Collaborate with clinical, non-clinical, technical, and non-technical stakeholders to refine unclear requirements.

Influence data quality strategy and recommend best practices based on prior experience.

Operate proactively, surfacing issues early and guiding improvements.

Required Skills

Expert-level SQL (top priority).

Strong Python skills for data analysis and automation.

Hands-on experience with Databricks.

Familiarity with data validation concepts; experience with tools like Great Expectations, Collibra, etc., is welcome but not required.

Ability to work independently in an environment with evolving requirements.

Strong communication skills and comfort pushing back or asking clarifying questions.

Preferred Skills

Healthcare data experience (nice to have, not a deal breaker).

Experience designing or scaling data quality frameworks.
