Join our thriving logistics center in Columbus, Ohio, as a Picker/Packer. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic to accurately pick items for customer orders and meticulously pack them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that products reach our customers safely and on time. You will be instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy and contributing to the overall efficiency of our fulfillment process. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all procedures is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse locations using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure all required documentation is in place.
- Stage packed orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and surrounding area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as cycle counting.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily fulfillment targets in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all procedures.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong desire to contribute to logistics success.
