We are seeking diligent Order Pickers to join our bustling logistics hub in Boston, Massachusetts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves. Your attention to detail and ability to work quickly will ensure that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. This position requires physical stamina, precision, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will utilize scanning technology to track inventory and contribute to the overall efficiency of our distribution operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items based on order lists, using handheld scanners or other devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Prepare picked items for packing and shipment.
- Transport orders to designated packing or shipping areas.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by reporting discrepancies or stock issues.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards.
- Operate pallet jacks or other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capacity for lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanning technology is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
