Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Our Sacramento, California facility is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is vital in ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout our warehouse. We value precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas, including racks and bulk locations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including site-specific protocols.
- Adhere to production and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of obstructions.
- Coordinate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Wear all required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or previous demonstrated experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
