We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania logistics team. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into our warehouse. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety are essential for this position. You will be the first point of contact for inbound goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Document all received goods, noting any damages or discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage materials for put-away or distribution to other departments.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move incoming goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear required PPE, including safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for receiving operations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE is required.
