Portland, Oregon is calling for experienced Forklift Operators! We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to join our logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and staging products and materials. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will be crucial in maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety regulations is mandatory. This role requires a strong understanding of forklift operations, material handling best practices, and a commitment to a productive workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate placement and accessibility.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and Safety.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in material handling techniques and warehouse Safety protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including occasional Lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to Safety.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
