Seeking skilled Reach Truck Operators for our advanced warehouse facility in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of reach trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is critical to maintaining optimal warehouse flow and supporting our overall logistics objectives. Strict adherence to all Safety procedures and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires precision and skill in operating specialized equipment, and may involve some moderate Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods.
- Load and unload materials from racking systems and trailers.
- Accurately place and retrieve inventory from high-level racking.
- Perform pre-operation checks on reach trucks and report any issues.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas within the racking system.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and warehouse guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Support team members in achieving daily logistics targets.
- Follow all procedures for safe material handling and storage.
Qualifications:
- Valid Reach Truck operator certification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Thorough understanding of Safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Excellent spatial awareness and driving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cold or temperature-controlled environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail in logistics operations.
- Good communication skills.
