We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role requires a certified and skilled individual who can operate various types of forklifts with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is essential. We are committed to providing a secure work environment and ensure all employees are equipped with the necessary PPE . This position involves frequent lifting and operation of heavy machinery, making reliability and a safety-conscious attitude critical. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, etc.) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues or defects.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and other items within the warehouse.
- Follow all established safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents.
- Utilize scanning equipment to track inventory movements accurately.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and management.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Handle the physical demands of the role, including occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and smooth running of the logistics department.
- Ensure all actions are performed with a high degree of attention to detail and precision.
- Uphold the highest standards of workplace safety at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics . Excellent knowledge of forklift operating procedures and safety guidelines. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and wearing required PPE . Successful completion of a background check and drug screening may be required.
