We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy facility in Jacksonville, Florida. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and expertly packing them for shipment. Efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail are paramount. You will work with an inventory management system to locate products, scan items, and ensure that orders are fulfilled correctly. Your packing skills will ensure that items are protected during transit, minimizing damage. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for most of your shift and will be involved in regular Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy before packing.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Operate scanning equipment and potentially other warehouse machinery.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Practice proper Lifting techniques to handle products safely.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics principles.
- Commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
