Our rapidly growing logistics operation in Miami, Florida, is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for transit. This role demands precision, efficiency, and a thorough understanding of shipping procedures. You will be responsible for verifying shipping orders, selecting appropriate shipping carriers, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. Maintaining accurate shipping records and resolving any shipping discrepancies will be a key part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping software and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments.
- Verify accuracy of shipping orders and contents.
- Select appropriate shipping carriers and service levels.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation.
- Schedule pickups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques and utilize required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Capability to handle moderate Lifting as needed.
