We are seeking diligent Order Pickers to join our bustling warehouse team in Nashville, Tennessee. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Read order slips and accurately locate and pick specified items from warehouse inventory.
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items and update inventory levels.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, contributing to overall warehouse safety.
- Conduct quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and condition.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily picking quotas while maintaining high accuracy rates.
- Regularly engage in lifting items, some weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Support the broader logistics team in various warehouse tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper handling of goods.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and gloves.
