Job Summary:
We are hiring a diligent Material Handler for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is vital to the efficient movement and storage of goods within our distribution center, forming a critical part of our **logistics** operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, and transferring materials, always prioritizing **safety** and accuracy. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect incoming inventory, verifying quantities and condition.
  • Sort and store materials in designated warehouse locations according to **logistics** standards.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
  • Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse as required.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate records.
  • Adhere to all **safety** policies and procedures, including proper use of **PPE**.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or **safety** hazards immediately.
  • Assist with order picking and packing when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy **lifting** (up to 60 lbs), pushing, pulling, and standing for long hours.
  • Familiarity with warehouse **logistics** and inventory systems.
  • Proficiency in operating manual and powered material handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to adhering to **safety** regulations and **PPE** guidelines.
