We are looking for robust individuals to manage the movement and organization of materials within our state-of-the-art warehouse. This role is essential to maintaining the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You'll be responsible for operating various types of equipment to transport, store, and retrieve materials. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the ability to handle physical demands, including substantial lifting, are key to success in this position. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all team members to be diligent in their use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and store materials according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly documenting material movements.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to lifting techniques.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification to operate specific material handling equipment (e.g., forklift certification) is a plus.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Commitment to utilizing PPE and following all safety regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding logistics environment.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a warehouse setting with potential exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. The role involves significant physical activity, including extensive lifting and operating heavy machinery. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE, is critical.
