Job Summary:
Our Seattle, Washington facility is seeking a proactive and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated logistics team. This crucial role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficient management of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and implementing robust inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a keen analytical mind for identifying trends and proposing improvements. This position plays a vital part in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring product availability. You will collaborate closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to maintain seamless inventory flow. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all team members must strictly adhere to safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While the role is primarily analytical, there may be occasional requirements for lifting and moving inventory. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify causes of loss or inaccuracy and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Oversee stock rotation to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and adjustments.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to maintain accuracy and safety.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and requirements, including the use of PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management.
  • Provide accurate inventory information to support logistics planning.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory control within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
