A prominent logistics company in Sacramento, California is seeking an enthusiastic Order Picker to join our warehouse team. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled with speed and accuracy. You will be responsible for navigating our warehouse, identifying and retrieving specific items based on order tickets, and preparing them for shipment. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a strong commitment to Safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify product information to ensure correct order fulfillment.
- Package picked items securely and label them for shipment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other lifting devices safely.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all warehouse protocols.
- Strictly follow all Safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Meet or exceed picking performance standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order status.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Commitment to wearing provided PPE consistently.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes within the logistics field.
