Join our team as a Forklift Operator in Tampa, Florida! We are seeking a certified and experienced forklift operator to efficiently move materials throughout our warehouse. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and support various warehouse functions. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, possesses excellent maneuvering skills, and is committed to maintaining a productive and secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securement.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling and logistics tasks.
- Safely stack and unstack pallets of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous.
