Operate vital warehouse equipment as a Forklift Operator in Richmond, Virginia. We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to maneuver forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. This role is essential for the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are moved safely and effectively. You will be responsible for performing daily equipment checks, adhering to all traffic and safety rules, and maintaining an organized work environment. Your proficiency in forklift operation is crucial to our logistics workflow. Strict adherence to all PPE requirements is mandatory for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack palletized goods.
- Perform routine pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Safely transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by placing materials in designated locations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and traffic guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Operate equipment in a manner that minimizes damage to products and the facility.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating a forklift. Valid forklift certification or demonstrated proficiency. Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical dexterity. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. A commitment to safe operation and the proper use of PPE is required.
