We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our bustling Las Vegas, Nevada facility. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to load, unload, transport, and store materials. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment proficiently and safely.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory to designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Ensure materials are properly secured and stored to prevent damage or loss.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies regarding PPE and safe operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role, with valid equipment certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 70 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Good understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
