We are seeking detail-oriented Picker/Packers for our distribution center in Portland, Oregon. This role is fundamental to our Logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, verifying quantities, and packaging them according to company standards. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to Safety are paramount. As part of our team, you'll contribute to the efficient flow of goods and play a key part in customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify product identification and quantities against order requirements.
- Package items carefully and securely, selecting appropriate shipping materials to prevent damage.
- Label packages with shipping and tracking information accurately.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to the overall tidiness of the warehouse.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as required by the Logistics team.
- Ensure efficient and timely processing of orders to meet daily targets.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting of packages, typically up to 30-40 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and item descriptions.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and basic computer skills is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
- Capable of Lifting and moving items up to 40 lbs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding and adherence to warehouse Safety standards and the use of PPE.
