Together, we harness the expertise of our long-standing tradition of excellence to embrace possibility and continuously push to do what's never been done before in pet care. Discover your purpose and fuel your passions when you bring your love of pets to a team that prides itself on the power of togetherness—We are Proudly Connected. Purely Driven. Position Summary As a global leader in the consumer-packaged goods industry, we’re revolutionizing pet food production and its ability to enrich the lives of pets and people everywhere. In 1956, through groundbreaking engineering, we literally reshaped pet care, introducing Dog Chow® as the first extruded dry food. We’re still at it today, with Tidy Cats®, the lightweight cat litter champion of the world and Pro Plan Bright Mind®, a breakthrough formula with enhanced botanical oils shown to promote alertness and mental sharpness in aging dogs. Such leadership requires fresh perspective and forward-thinking, which drives us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in pet care. Within our collaborative environment, you'll have the chance to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions in the rapidly evolving field of pet nutrition. As the Thermal Process Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide technical leadership and expertise in maintenance systems and asset reliability across manufacturing operations, particularly within our wet food factory network. You will ensure equipment performance, safety, and uptime through robust maintenance strategies, troubleshooting support, and continuous improvement. The SME acts as the primary resource for maintenance governance, technical training, and replication of best practices across sites. Develop, validate, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs through maintenance procedures, work instructions, and critical equipment lists. Ensure compliance with corporate maintenance standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines. Provide expert training and guidance to cross functional teams on mechanical, electrical, and controls systems across key production equipment. Lead root cause analyses (RCAs) for equipment failures and partner with operations to implement effective corrective actions. Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new or refurbished equipment. Drive projects focused on asset health, maintenance efficiency, and maintenance cost optimization.
