About the Role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst plays a critical role in supporting enterprise financial planning for a rapidly growing, multi-location health club organization. This role partners closely with Corporate Finance and operational leaders to deliver financial and operational insights that inform senior leadership decision-making and directly impact company performance, profitability, and long-term growth.

As a key liaison between Finance and Business Unit leaders, the FP&A Analyst supports forecasting, P&L analysis, performance metrics, and enterprise reporting to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

What You’ll Do

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop operating and financial plans that support the Company’s strategic objectives
  • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans across corporate and field operations
  • Analyze historical financial performance and operating trends to inform future projections
  • Deliver updated forecasts highlighting risks, opportunities, and variances to plan

Decision Support & Financial Analysis

  • Provide timely, accurate financial analysis to support senior leadership decision-making
  • Perform variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, including clear explanations and actionable insights
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational and financial performance across locations and regions
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations related to investments, sourcing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to evaluate business performance, risk management opportunities, and growth initiatives

Management Reporting & Executive Communication

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Business Unit leaders to deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting
  • Coordinate across the finance organization to establish reporting timelines, templates, and standards while maintaining data integrity
  • Improve the clarity, speed, and effectiveness of financial communication to executive leadership and the Board
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and materials for leadership reviews, Board meetings, and strategic planning sessions

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Provide analytical support for critical initiatives, including process optimization, market analysis, capital allocation, and potential M&A activity
  • Build financial models and scenario analyses for strategic investments, new initiatives, and potential transactions
  • Deliver early views into future fiscal years through scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
  • Evaluate and enhance management reporting and data management processes, recommending simplification and efficiency improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial or analytical role
  • Strong proficiency in Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to influence leadership through data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
