Management Trainee

Note: We are hiring management trainees for several store locations! This may include our Corning , Elmira , Ithaca and Johnson City stores. Interest and desired location will be discussed during the interview process!

As a Management Trainee in our store operations, you will take part in a 1-2 year accelerated training program allowing you to work hands-on with products, customers, and team members to develop your leadership skills within our stores. You will learn about Wegmans' company values, business measures, standards and operations. The goal of the program is, upon completion of and graduation from the program you would become a department manager within a store. What You'll Do

• Acquire the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to effectively manage store operations
• Work through training program modules, including attending seminars, weekly and monthly meetings, and check-ins with your trainer and coach
• Work hands-on with products, customers and team members to learn and understand all aspects of being an effective department manager
• Fine tune leadership skills to support development and training of a team
• Hone your ability to merchandise product to maximize sales growth and managing profit
• Seek out performance feedback to ensure growth and professional development

Requirements

• 1 or more years of supervisory experience
