The Department of Pediatrics is looking for a Research Engineering Scientist Assistant. This is a one-year fixed term position, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward research goals. This is grant funded position with an end date of 7/31/26 and renewable based upon availability of funding.
PurposeTo assist NIH-funded research project and to perform wet-lab experiments.
ResponsibilitiesPerform tissue culture including organoid culture and related molecular and biochemical analysis.
Assist with mouse maintenance and experiments (colony management, embryo collection, genotyping).
Miscellaneous work (including checking lab inventory and package management).
Other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with some wet lab experience.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Salary Range$32,000+ depending on qualifications
Working ConditionsUniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished)
May work in extreme temperatures
May work around chemical fumes
May work around biohazards
May work around chemicals
Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines
