My client is looking to engage with a Mechanical Design Engineer to provide independent Mechanical Design Service, this is a key package on a large scale Energy Project.
Role Specification
Produce and checking of design deliverables for small structural steel, HVAC Bracketry and chilled water systems (Calculations, models, drawings).
Technical advice on constructability, manufacturability and integration of supports.
Independent design review of external supplier drawings.
Resolve design queries, offering expert advisory if requires.
Deliver designs for HVAC Bracketry, chilled water pipework and small steel structures.
Review and approve third party technical submissions and fabrication drawings.
Prepare advisory notes or design mark ups.
Role Requirements
You will need to have a Mechanical Design Engineering background, with experience and understanding of HVAC, small structural steel and supports.
An understanding of Chilled water systems and installation on Mechanical projects.
Knowledge of Structural Load calculations.
Relevant Design Software (PDMS, Tekla, AutoCAD) or similar.
Strong ability to provide independent Technical advice.
Regulated sector experience would be desirable (Defence, Energy, Infrastructure).
