Field-Based Sales Representative
to join our team from March/April 2026.
This new role is responsible for developing long-term partnerships with independent stockists, winning new business, and expanding the circulation of Caroline Gardner gift products within the region.
It is a field-based role, with most of the time spent visiting customers, supported by a showroom base at our Banbury warehouse for appointments, seasonal range presentations, and internal sales activity.
This is an opportunity to bring our Midlands representation in-house, playing a key role in shaping how we work with independent retailers and unlocking future growth through strong relationships, consistent service, and thoughtful selling.
What you’ll be doing Account management & growth
Build strong, trusted relationships with independent retailers across the region.
Grow existing accounts through improved range placement, repeat orders, and category expansion.
Expand the circulation of Caroline Gardner gift products within current stockists.
Identify, approach, and open new independent accounts where there is a strong commercial and brand fit.
Selling & showroom activity
Conduct regular in-store visits, range reviews, and product presentations.
Host pre-booked customer appointments at the Banbury showroom.
Lead seasonal sell-ins, new product launches and range updates.
Participate in internal sales days and collaborate with the wider wholesale team.
Own a regional revenue target and contribute to year-on-year growth.
Operate within established wholesale pricing and trading terms.
Maintain accurate forecasting, customer records, and sales pipeline information.
Share customer feedback, market insights, and competitor intelligence with the Sales Director and internal teams.
Brand representation & collaboration
Act as a brand ambassador, representing Caroline Gardner with warmth, professionalism, and integrity.
Work closely with the internal wholesale team to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Provide feedback on product performance, customer needs, and opportunities to inform future ranges.
About you You will be a confident, self-motivated sales professional who enjoys being on the road, building relationships, and taking ownership of a region.
Proven experience as a field-based sales representative.
Strong experience selling into independent retailers.
Commercially minded, with a track record of growing accounts and territories.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organised, with strong planning and follow-through.
Full UK driving licence.
Located within the Midlands region.
Experience within cards, gifting, stationery, or design-led lifestyle products.
Confidence presenting seasonal ranges and new product launches.
Experience managing a large portfolio of independent accounts.

Competitive salary (depending on your experience) plus company car/car allowance.
Role type Permanent & full-time role (five days per week, with openness to a four-day working week for the right candidate). 9.00am–5.30pm. Field-based. Showroom base at our Banbury warehouse for customer appointments and internal sales activity.
